Verizon 4G LTE Roadmap 2011: 49 more cities next

There’s good news today for Verizon customers keen to get their hands on one of the upcoming 4G phones to work on the new 4G LTE network. Up until now the new network has only rolled out to 38 cities but we’ve now heard more about the extension to the LTE network for 2011.
The roadmap from Verizon sees the next 49 cities listed and the target for the Big Red is to see the network in around 140 cities by the end of 2011, according to an article on Droid Life. If you want to see the full list then check out the link above or see more at the Verizon Wireless link below.

The first 49 on the new list are expected to see the rollout in the first half of this year so if you’re eagerly waiting to grab hold of the HTC Thunderbolt or the Motorola Droid Bionic 4G then take a look at the list and see if you’re in luck. Some of the upcoming 4G smartphones have had glowing reports so the quicker Verizon rolls out its LTE network the better!
